France Wins First-Ever VNL Title

Defeat Poland in Quarterfinals
In a thrilling match at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, France defeated Poland to win the Men's Volleyball Nations League (VNL) 2022 final. The victory marks France's first title in the history of the competition.
France came out strong, taking the first set 25-23. Poland fought back, winning the second set 27-25, but France rallied to win the third set 25-21. Poland once again tied the match by taking the fourth set 25-22, but France proved too strong in the fifth set, winning 15-11.
Earvin Ngapeth led the way for France, scoring 23 points. Antoine Brizard added 18 points, and Nicolas Le Goff had 16 points. For Poland, Bartosz Kurek scored 20 points, and Kamil Semeniuk added 19 points.
The VNL is an annual international volleyball tournament that brings together the top 16 men's and women's teams in the world. France's victory is a testament to the growth of the sport in the country.
