RJ Barrett: Rising Star in the NBA

Early Life and Career

RJ Barrett was born on June 14, 2000, in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. His father, Rowan Barrett, was a professional basketball player and captain of the Canadian national team at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. RJ began playing basketball at a young age and quickly established himself as one of the top prospects in Canada.

College Career

Barrett attended Duke University for one season before declaring for the 2019 NBA Draft. As a freshman, he averaged 22.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game and was named the ACC Rookie of the Year.
