The Texas Department of Public Safety has issued an Amber Alert for a missing child in Princeton, Texas.
The child, identified as 5-year-old Amber Rose Smith, was last seen at her home on Tuesday, January 17, 2023.
According to police, Smith was playing in the backyard when she disappeared. The child's parents reported her missing to authorities at approximately 7:30 p.m.
Law enforcement officers have been searching for Smith throughout the night, including using air support.
Suspect Description and Vehicle Information
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 30 years old, with brown hair and blue eyes.
The suspect was seen fleeing the scene in a white pickup truck with a black toolbox in the back.
